2014 Archives Association of Ontario Conference

Homecoming 2010 at the University of Ontario Institute of TechnologyMay 2014 will see the annual conference of the Archives Association of Ontario (AAO) take place at UOIT in Oshawa.  The conference is being hosted by DRAAG and promises to be a wonderful opportunity to delve deeper into the roles that archives play in enhancing collective memory and celebrating milestones both big and small.

The Conference kicks off on Wednesday, May 28 with a wonderful cocktail reception at the RMG Oshawa’s preeminent art gallery. Conference delegates will not only enjoy an evening to socialize but also be offered the opportunity for a private tour of the gallery.

Conference activities then shift to the north Oshawa Campus of UOIT and the Keynote Address.  We are very excited to have Anthony Wilson-Smith from Historica Canada come and speak to us on their very popular Heritage Minutes.

After a full day of sessions and networking, the evening brings with it an opportunity to experience a very unique Oshawa landmark in a very unique manner.  Thursday evening Parkwood National Historic Site will open its doors for our delegates to tour and dine. This evening is brought to you courtesy of Ancestry.ca. Space is limited so be certain to purchase your ticket when you register!

Visit the AAO website for more information and to register for this amazing conference.
